The world is your oyster, yet how many times do you actually get up and leave the little town that you live in? The reality of it is, even though we live in such a big and beautiful world, we’re really not making the most of it. We’re so caught up in the money side of things, and trying to afford a nice big holiday, that we forget that we can simply pack a bag, and explore the world for less. It’s not all about luxury holidays, and beach front hotels. It’s about seeing the world for what it truly is, and there’s no better way of doing that than to pack some things in a bag, and head out into the open to see what you can find. As some of you won’t be used to doing this, we’re here to help you. Have a read on to find out more.
What To Pack
Thinking about what to pack when you’re going on a normal holiday can be pretty hard going. But when you’re just taking a bag on your back, things should become a little easier. One thing that we do recommend that you pack, is a blow up mattress. You can get one that start of so small, so if you take a big bag it’ll fit fine. The next item is a tent from places such as 4WD Supacentre. Although this counts as having a second bag with you, it’s the difference between sleeping somewhere for next to nothing, and sleeping in somewhere that’ll break the bank. Taking a tent with you secures complete freedom to go wherever you want to! You also need to pack clothes appropriate for where you’re planning on going, and spares of everything. There’s nothing worse than falling short of essentials such as pants and socks!
How To Save Some Pennies
Aside from taking a tent with you to save money on hotels etc. you can also save on the way that you’re getting where you need to go. If you’re going to travel around Europe, there are trains that will take you from city to city, and you’ll hardly have to pay anything compared to going on a flight, and it’ll be much easier for you to transport your things. As for eating and drinking, there will be plenty of places around the world where you can get delicious food for next to nothing. Even if some days you find yourself having a 99p cheeseburger from McDonald’s at lunch to save some money, it’ll still mean you’re making memories in a new country.
How To have The Best Fun
Even though you might only have a bag on your back, you need to put some planning into this. You need to know what parts of the country you want to head to, and what you would actually like to do there. Say for example, if you went to Tenerife, you would have a completely different experience on the North side of the island, compared to the one you would have on the south. Find out what type of things you would like to do, and head to the area that facilitates that the most.
